Hasselblad H6D-50C vs X1D MII
« on: January 30, 2020, 03:40:49 pm »

Who has both H6D 50C  and X1D - tell me - is the picture from them the same or not?
Is there a difference in color or contrast?

Interesting question.

The sensor is the same so the performance should be similar, but the newer software can probably alternate the color management. Important is also to test it with the HCD lenses on the X1D, since I am not aware you can put XCD lenses on the H6.

Good point about the lenses.  There wasn't a shift between the ccd and cmos setups, so the idea of there being a shift from the body between the -50c and X1d is pretty unlikely.  The lenses are where you'd see any differences in color & rendering, but you can put all the H lenses on the X1D, though you need the later firmwares to autofocus.

Hi!
H6D-50c is a CMOS sensor. Do I understand correctly that the difference is only in the lens pattern?

Yes, the CMOS chip in the H6D-50c and X1D is the same.  The lens are made by different companies, for different systems.  The Fuji H glass will render differently than the Nittoh XCD lenses.  How different is a personal judgement and situational.
