Composition is nice, further postprocessing is optional from how it looks now. I would however decrease the sky brightness from the extreme right side.

Probably, while they were young and too slender to fight the wind.

Perhaps they were planted crooked and grew straight afterward.

Yes, most likely. This tree farm is very close to the Columbia River Gorge that is famous for kite surfing with it's constant wind.
