Canon 4100 PPL "Contrast Reproduction" ?
« on: January 22, 2020, 11:37:45 am »

Does any one know what “Contrast Reproduction” achieve in the Canon PPL? It is sort of a black box and support could not explain it to me.
Do you use this option?

Solution
You can reduce sharpness degradation that occurs when printing photos.
Unlike the conventional sharpness control, correction is performed according to the characteristics of paper so as to print sharp photos with a natural impression.

From my experience... well I can't tell if it's worth cause I've never had the patience of running a comparative test with and without the option turned on. The only thing I can conform is that with the option ON it takes a loooooot more time to print. Hope this helps.
