I think you would have a stronger composition by including more of the tree on the right to balance the image. As it stands, I feel it's heavy on the left with some sparse elements on the right. I'm also not a fan of objects creeping in from the edges that don't play a big role in the composition, like the tree on the right.

Back up, include the tree into the image and you'd have a nice image.

I admit I never gave that much thought to those branches, in my mind they were part of the framing and something like "nothing to see here, go back to the point of focus". My initial intent was just the central house but then I realized it probably works better with the 2 sheds in the background, so this is already wider that planned. Either way, I got rid of those branches and corrected the perspective.

As for being left hand heavy I disagree, the central house is quite central and there is not much of interest on the left vs the right. I actually cropped a bit from the left to make it look more balanced in my eyes, see attached.

PS. the light on the background shed is green but I desaturated, I wonder if giving it back a touch of color will be beneficial

I'd have a bash at removing the cables.

Soon I'll be asked to remove the house  :D

The reason I kept them was to increase the confusion; maybe it's not apparent in the photo but the front house looks abandoned, while the back sheds are maintained and lit, that's why they are included in the shot.

Either way, here is a "clean" version, free of distractions.

I much prefer the "clean" version.
The house looks desolate but the barn and shed do look pristine and cared for.
