Skiing
« on: January 13, 2020, 04:37:53 pm »

Ski photography is another genre I enjoy. It's challenging but rewarding and I love it when the elements all come together for a good ski shot.
Here are a couple from Sunday. I was backcountry skiing with a friend near Monarch Pass and conditions were great! The price for that great skiing was some cold temps but having to climb the mountain before skiing it helps me stay warm.  8)

Nice ones, Matt.
They make me feel my age.
I'm grateful that I can sit in my comfortable, warm home and enjoy the results of your hard and cold work!

Thanks. It's mostly play for me with personal ski pics so I thoroughly enjoyed this work day!
I also love getting back to my warm, comfortable home after a day in the mountains. Makes me glad we have a steam shower!

Cold this morning and then pretty warm once above the inversion. Nice snow.

Love the images and the scenic backgrounds. And lots of good exercise. Now you make feel that I have to get out to enjoy some of this winter season.

Thanks John!
Yeah, I hate going to the gym so this is what I do instead. Definitely a good workout, especially if you are skipping lift-served options.
If I lived in a city like Denver I would do it a lot less. Looks like a serious hassle to get up to the mountains and back. I'm glad I wound up here instead.  8)

Thanks, Matt. My Colorado is gorgeous, as usual.

It sure is. I especially love these lesser-visited parts. It was so nice and quiet up there.
