Canon Pro-2000 startup noise
« on: January 05, 2020, 10:57:48 pm »

I have had my Canon Pro-2000 printer now for 18 months. Whilst the printer is somewhat noisy from day one when starting up from the sleep mode, the last few weeks that noise has intensified into "cluncking'' sound as if part of the mechanism is not engaging.

The authorised service company for Canon Australia arrived today to inspect the printer (not dismantled) and have decided to replace the Purge Unit.

I was wondering if any other Pro-2000 users have had a similar issue.

The video shows the printer start up and at 1.04min is where the noise starts.

That doesn't sound like my problem, but I have heard that sound before. I thought it was filling the ink, but yours goes on for quite a while.
