And Happy New Year and Happy New Decade to all of you from me, too.
That is a lovely series, Rajan. It's easy to see why you return home to Goa so often.
That forked tree hugging the sun is the perfect greeting for the new decade.

Yes, happy new year to all.

P.S. Just be patient and wait one more year for the new decade :)

Peter, Russ, Eric, Slobodan, and Bill - thank you. New Years' wishes to you all.

Nope, just a weak attempt to pander to the ignorance of unwashed masses :)

They got one thing right, though: the choice of descriptor matters. Year 2020 is the beginning of the ‘20s. “New decade” it ain’t. Decades have ten years, and the first decade was from year one to year ten, not year nine. And every decade since.

Are you sure?
Mightn't there have been a decade, back in the middle ages, say, that only had seven or eight years?
After all, they didn't have very good computers back then.    :D

I would rather say that, in the Dark Ages, a decade seemed more like 11-12 years  ;)

LOL! Happy New Year. I'm with Slobodan on the decade issue but I'm with you on the sentiment! :)

Whether your decade be long or short (or just right), may it be a happy one!
