B&H Gear
« on: December 22, 2019, 08:23:01 pm »

In the recent Dan Wells article:  https://luminous-landscape.com/a-sturdy-base-and-some-light-part-2-of-a-series-of-short-reviews/ I quote  "Both Robus and Oben are B&H store brands. Aside: why does B&H use a wide variety of brand names, instead of putting their own highly respected name on products? I donít think any photographer would refuse to buy B&H products, and many might seek them out. I recently received a variety of both Robus and Oben support gear from B&H for review, and much of it is getting its first mention here."

How was it determined that Robus is the house brand of B&H Photo?  I've not seen it (or have missed that fact) on both Robus and B&H's websites.  And I agree 110% with Robus is a great tripod, as that was my selection earlier this month for a new set of legs.

Thanks,
Kevin

One major benefit of owning a brand separate to your main brand is that if it does become successful,  you can sell it!

A brand is an asset like other intellectual property.
