Anybody know about microscope photography?
I'm the photographer, my wife is the marine aquarium fanatic. Now our paths cross. She wants to buy a microscope to see, document, and analyze the super small stuff that's important to fish tank health. They range from $14,000 to $40. She's shopping in the $100 to $200 range. Some have built-in cameras, some have camera add-ons. Most microscope cameras in that price range are only 1.5 to 3.0 megapixels, which is not much.
She found a $25 "adaptor" that attaches a smart phone to the microscope eye piece. Looks quite questionable to me, but has some good reviews. Any advice from experienced experts will be much appreciated.
