Late September in New Mexico.  What a joy driving thru this landscape.

Wonderful!

It can be dangerous to drive out there, what with slamming on the brakes every 10 minutes to take another picture!

Lovely light! We made our first visit to New Mexico in mid October and loved it! Taos and Sante Fe were fantastic and the high road through the mountains a must.
