Technical details: 70mm, F8, ISO 200, 1/125s.

A machete is the tool of choice for clearing brush, and has been for many years. My father carried and used one in the jungles of New Guinea. Never used as a weapon. His M1 Carbine was much more effective for that purpose...

I thought, it might be useful to add the technical details, so I added them to the OP.

I was walking on the sidewalk when I noticed the gardener. I didn't have time to change any settings, so I just lifted the camera and pressed the shutter. The camera was set to F8, ISO 200 and Aperture priority which resulted in the shutter speed of 1/125s. That was adequate for the man, but no match for the swinging machete, so the blade is just a blur. Which was OK to convey the action, but to freeze the blade detail, I estimate that a shutter speed of 1/500s to 1/1000s would be required.
