The background is beautiful but the lower 1/4th containing the rocks is distracting. That portion can easily be CAFed (content aware-filled).

Rajan, I'll definitely try to improve the lower 1/4 of the frame,.... If not, I'll see if cropping the bottom 1/4 would make an improvement.

If you focus stacked it, it might be less distracting. Also to me the clarity is a bit high, the detail in the rocks cascades feels a bit distracting as the pattern is our central focus here. I'd considering adjusting the detail slider more blurry, and cropping into the pattern.

*edit* - after posting this rendition I like it better with the foreground perhaps. I think I just find it distracting from a technical standpoint as it's not focus stacked.

Yes I agree.  The foreground, even if it was in focus, doesn't add anything to an exceptional background.  Much prefer maddog's version. FWIW.
