Capture One Catalog in Windows "My Pictures" directory?
« on: November 30, 2019, 09:58:00 am »

Hij,
I just purchased a license to Capture One Pro and am tranistioning from demo to activated use.

I found a "Capture One Catalog" in my Windows 7 C: > Users > *Insert User Name Here* > My Pictures directory?

I have been working with digital images for a couple decades and have never placed a photo file on my C drive and especially the "My Pictures" directory.

How do I prevent Capture One from placing files here when I am not aware of it?

Thank you for any help you can share!

When you create a catalog or session, you tell it exactly where you want it to go. I believe the default location is in the "Pictures" directory on a Mac, probably the same analog on Windows. Maybe it got created there as you were poking around when you were getting started with it. In any case, you can "tell it where to put it", as it were, going forward.

Cheers,
Ray
