I can create a new gallery right from Lightroom...
In Lightroom 6 (non-subscription) I can't.   ;)

It's time for me to get back to photography. Enough web-building (for now.)

Especially for Jeremy:

I have added a "Quick Index" which requires fewer keystrokes to get to a gallery.

Eric, there's still what seems to me an unnecessary step in getting into a gallery. Clicking on a thumbnail in the galleries page should, I think, take you into the gallery; instead, it just gives a larger version of the thumbnail and another click is needed. Why?

Jeremy,
Have you tried the "Quick Galleries" index? It lets you click on the gallery title just below each thumbnail to go to the gallery.
It's not very attractive, since the quick index shows the thumbnails in one long column.

To make both indexes and the galleries I have modified some of the gallery generators that come with BreezeBrowser. Each generator uses three templates, called index_template, thumbnail+template, and full_size_template. How it uses these to build it's galleries is somewhat of a mystery. I have been able to play with formatting (via CSS) and some of the workings (html), but I have left alone the fairly extensive Javascript so far. I think it's time for me to learn more about Javascript. Alternatively, I  might just revert to one of their other  generators for the Index and keep the slide show business for the galleries.

I will explore that a bit (and try to get more familiar with Javascript.)

As they say, Watch This Space!   :)

I hadn't, Eric, but now I have. As you say, it's unattractive; it's not clear why "galleries" should be different from "quick galleries"; and once in "quick galleries", it's really confusing that clicking on the gallery icon and clicking on the name have different effects.

The photos are great, but I can't warm to the site as a whole, I'm afraid.

I hear you, Jeremy, and I do have some thoughts on how to replace both "galleries" and "quick index" with a single, responsive list of gallery thumbnails each of which is a direct link to the appropriate gallery. This will probably take a week or so, since I do need to spend some time on other things, but I will let you know when I get to it.

I agree that sounds like a UI improvement.

OK, folks! I think I've got it. "Quick Index" has gone the way of the dodo.

The "Galleries" link now takes you to a list of thumbnails. Hovering over any thumbnail displays the name of the gallery associated with that thumbnail. Clicking on any thumbnail takes you to the associated gallery. No intermediate step required.

If people want, I can add the gallery name below each thumbnail as well.

I hope to add a new gallery or two soon.

I have now added the name of each gallery under each thumbnail in Galleries, and you just click on the thumbnail to visit the gallery.

I have also added one new gallery, "Trees."

Some galleries have captions under each image and others do not. I plan to add captions to the rest, one gallery at a time, but it will be slow, probably over a couple of months.

Right now I have an exhibit to prepare for, using real prints (remember those?) in frames, on a wall!

I am just getting around to looking at your site in more detail. FWIW it seems to work fine in Edge. I noticed that when I am viewing your Iceland gallery the page title is "Italy 2006."

Lovely photos! And nicely designed site. Bravo!

Thanks, Peter.

I had already discovered that Iceland glitch and corrected it.
If you clear your cache, or simply reload that page it should say Iceland 1974 instead of Italy 2006.
