Help with HP Z2100 Printer
« on: November 04, 2019, 01:51:43 pm »

I have a friend who got a HP Z2100 printer for free (no, it wasn't free. by the time he replaced parts he was in over $900) but where we are struggling is ICC profiles? I went to the HP site and no dice. Do you have to generate your own or is there a place to download that some kind soul had created? The operating system is Windows 10 workstation (forgot to mention that) Any help would be great!

a lot of profiles are inside the machine- the HP -ones...

Are you on a mac?  you can download the HP software  ( at HP or via Apple software updater) with among it the HP designjet program.
With that program you can see the icc profiles inside the printer download them from the printer or change and add profiles and papers from other vendors...

Go to HP and find this page:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-designjet-z2100-photo-printer-series/3204963

Download the utility - try that and see if it will see the printer.  Once in the utility synchronize papers.

You can do everything in the color center - paper preset management.

As mentioned above, use the utility tool. All Z3200 have a built in I1 X-Rite spectrophotometer.

Best is to use it to create your own color profiles.
