Pre Dawn, Glen Affric
« on: October 31, 2019, 06:59:30 pm »

These two images taken within 10 minutes and 10 feet of each other were taken 40 minutes before my last post from here. I spent 30 minutes taking alternate images of the sunrise up and down the glen and am slowly processing them so I may be boring you with them for a while. Ken

First is a beauty for me.

For the second I think I prefer your first version., they are not far though.

Ken, I wonder how you achieve back to front sharpness in #1. Hints would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone. I am trying hard to process the first one adequately, despite my best attempt I managed to blow the red channel even when the histogram told me otherwise, please can I have a RAW histogram. Scott I focused on the bright bracken ( ferns) about 10ft fom me, at f8 this would leave the far trees out of focus but as they were already very soft with the mist I reasoned that sharp mist wasn't really needed, so sharp front to back, no. Sharp where it would do some good, I hope so. Ken
