Hello All. I'm hoping to improve my flat art repro equipment using the Nikon system. Currently I use mainly a D850 with a Zeiss 135mm Apo. It has a tiny bit of distortion but the light to dark transitions in high contrast areas is great. I do have trouble however in maintaining a good level of detail across the frame at close distances. (It could be that the lens is slightly off due to a nasty bang it once got.). It did try the latest Zeiss 100mm Milvius macro in the shop and really thought it was great (sharp, rectilinear) but know that it does have more CA than the Apo. (although could just about see it) I'm wondering though are there other options for me, for instance I can see that people really like the 105mm 1.4 which would be money better spent considering its range of uses. I don't need to focus that closely really, the macro is mainly for the flat field and geometric qualities. Hope you can help thanks!
