Ivo,
I have to admit that one reasonable way to interpret the negative responses you got here is that these guys (including me) are so stuck in their habitual ways of seeing that they just don't get whatever you are trying to get across in your image.
I will readily admit that I didn't "get" whatever the point of your image was, but Solobodan's witty response was easy to "get."
Don't give up!
Thanks for your adult reply, Eric.
Photography is a journey and not all outings are successful in terms of other peoples approval. I don’t mind.
I could take the easy lane an share the stuff understood as ‘good photography ’ here on Lula. I prefer not to take the easy lane. That includes I’m perfectly happy with comments on my attempts.
The strange thing is, and this is something a few peoples around here could take in consideration: I have posted enough images that shows where I’m standing, photographically speaking. I do know what I ‘m doing. Nobody of that specific incrowd club even think to ask: why did you take this image? What do you want to show? Where are you going?
Shortsighted it is, at least.
That said, today I visited a retrospective of Stephan Vanfleteren, one of Belgium’s Magnum photographers, this visit puts things in perspective and it confirms my attitude towards my own photographic endeavors, it’s only an attempt. 🤗
