Yes.  Don't expect great corner performance, however (even with the thin sensor cover conversion by KolariVisioin).

The APS-C frame would eliminate the corner issue, in my opinion.

I would think so.   The structure around the smaller 6500 sensor is tighter though and I am concerned about the collapsed fit.   Can you confirm that this will clear?

I don't have that camera to test it on.  The back of the lens, when fully "collapsed," is 20mm (maybe a hair less) inside the Leica-M mount.

Thanks Paul.   It looks like it won't clear surrounding structure on the 6500.
