FYI - for now, we've updated our firmware recommendation to a "Proceed with Caution" rating (for tech camera users), due to Frame Averaging on tech camera being totally FUBAR. We have detailed some of the behavior that has prompted this warning.

Steve, thanks so much for posting the update.  I caught this just in time as I had gone back to read the directions on the CI blog. 

Personally, it's a bit hard to believe this but just part of the IQ4 I guess.

I’ve seen a lot talk and advertising on the XT but wondering if many have been sent to customers?

I was told they were only releasing kits that included IQ4 digital backs first and anyone that wanted the XT system and lenses but already have an IQ4 back would have to wait.  Has anyone who has ordered just the XT and lens or lenses received theirs yet?

It is exactly like that...

I was told - here in Germany - that initially only KIT's are sold because that brings more money. I wanted to make another investment in a technical camera - now my money has gotten another company.
