Nec PA271Q-BK vs Benq SW270C
« on: September 05, 2019, 11:37:21 am »

Anybody has some experience or words of wisdom on these 2? Both are out for a while now but I find it hard to find direct comparisons.

The Nec seems to be quite good (if you disregard some Spectraview issues, hopefully resolved now) and is on sale now with the Spectraview software at ~ 1300. The BenQ is cheaper but not by that much if you include the i1 display pro which I would have to get (around 250).
Both should be an upgrade to what I have now. I'm a little taken back that Nec doesn't mention anything about DCI-P3 coverage while the BenQ covers most of it. I do plan to use it mostly for photo but would be nice to have the video covered for the future (one could argue that I should get a 4K monitor for video but that's a discussion for a different day). I can afford either but don't want to spend more for Nec if it turns to be less versatile while having similar quality.
They will likely replace an HP LP2475w.
