Thank you for all the comments, I really appreciate them.

This train passes our village twice a week and, ever since we arrived here, I have been wanting to take a photograph of it.

Last week we were close to the railway line trying to locate Blue Cranes for Ciming Mei (https://www.cmeiphoto.com/) from Houston, who is doing a book on the fifteen species of Cranes in the world.

We heard the train coming and while I was getting my camera and tripod out of the car, my wife shouted that the train was close . I grabbed my camera, looked up and saw the train bearing down on us and just snapped this image.

As I pressed the shutter the train hooted and the heron flew....! Pure luck.
