The Rainbow and the Fly

I'm feeling rather category-challenged today, but decided to let this one come to rest here.

Count me in as one.  I'm no fisherman, nor do I have any experience photographing fish, but I certainly love photographing water.

Superb!

I love the undulating water, which bends all the elements makes the image painterly.

Thank you, Peter and John. Gratifying to hear from kindred spirits who see more than just a fish.

Nice one Arlen. Just wondering if you brought a camera intending to get some shots or was it a just a quick inspiration? Very well seen and captured regardless!!

always like these kind of 'look twice photos' and this one is pearl, also as an abstract.

It is a dandy shot.  I waited to see it full screen before commenting.

Thanks guys, I appreciate all the additional feedback.

Kevin, I'm on rivers and streams a lot, and I almost always carry a camera. If I'm engaged in something like fly fishing, as here, it's a small pocketable one (currently an Olympus TG-4 or Sony RX100). I'm always looking for water patterns, interesting rocks, and lighting in advance, to use if a situation arises and a subject cooperates. Oftentimes they don't. But with persistence, every now and then things come together, as I think they did here.
