Topaz AI Clear is included in DeNoise AI. Makes my Mac crash.
« on: August 05, 2019, 01:37:34 pm »

I like the results of the software but it is crashing my Mac Pro (late 2013) os 10.14, 32gb ram.

I've emailed Topaz but haven't heard from them.

Any suggestions why this is happening and how to stop it.

Thanks in advance,

Brian

Hi Brian,

Hard to say. Have you tried removing the software and reinstalling it?

Cheers,
Bart

These programs rely heavily on the GPU, so it is a possibility that there are incompatibilities with older graphic cards

FWIW I run Topaz beta and release software on my 2013 i7 MacBook Air at home ('cause that's what I have at home...) and it handles even Gigapixel fine. Here are the specs of its installed video card:

Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB

When you say "crashing your Mac", do you mean the software crashes or the entire system? Do you get a crash report? If so, that would be useful to see.
