Fairy Glen, North Wales with square crops
« on: July 24, 2019, 03:47:22 pm »

The water level was very low when I visited this well known photo location. Usually photographed in the Autumn for both the foliage colour and the higher water levels which produces a small waterfall at the end of the gorge. Ken

What do you think about a square format  starting from the top of the image ?

That would be very nice, too.
But I do like the reflection in the bottom section.

Very satisfying image.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to look and comment. Here are 3 square crops neither of which are as good as the original, in my opinion, but I may grow to love them. Ken

I vote for your original (non-square) version.

The first image is simple, beautiful, intriguing and it makes me want to pick up my camera go there right now - so yes it certainly ticks all the right boxes for me Ken - Bravo!

Dave, this is not quite as often photographed as the Fairy Pools but is getting there. It doesn't stop either being lovely places to photograph. The only problem with Wales, people want you to pay to visit locations like this, oh and the midge does get this far South although not in Sligachan numbers. Ken
