Too late, he was married three weeks ago. He and his bride are currently honeymooning on Sicily.

How romatically apt and beautiful! Allow me to w¡sh them both well. I hope he has the language better than I managed mine. Maybe wartime Britain was not the best time/place combination for your kid to speak Italian too well.

Let's hope they resist Corleone as I would Glencoe if my name was MacDonald! On the other hand, my muse was a MacDonald and she never tried to get her own back for the family - quite the opposite: a wonderful career help.

What's his interest in life - following in your footsteps?

Rob

.

Rob,

Both he and his older sister went to art school In nyc. My daughter is a graphic designer and my son is in the trenches in nyc, making his way in the art world.

My son will be visiting the mountain town of Montalbano Elicona. The birthplace of my father. He will be visiting with the cousins and will stay in the home were my father was born.
I know their English in far better than his italian. He speaks a bit.
The houe has been in my family for five hundred years, give or take a century.

I was there a while ago and was treated well. When my dad turned sixty, I gave him an my mom a trip to vist the relatives. That was back in 1981. Illustration was wonderful mony back then.

Peter
Ps
My dad got to sleep in the room were he was born. Made me so happy.
My parents were highly supportive of my wanting to go to art school. I miss them so very much.

Congratulations, Peter!

It is wonderful to have direct access to places in your family's history.
