But what has the Jihad to do with anything?

No clue!
I haven't start analyzing the text yet, just looked at the graphics. Would make a good movie poster.

... Would make a good movie poster.

It is based on a movie poster. As for jihad, it is obvious.

... As for jihad, it is obvious.
Thats for fiction
The reality is opposite; a crusade is going on.

Look at Pompeo, Pence and Trump what they are doing with the Israel- Palestine situation.
The US under Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and moved their embassy to it.
They also approved the building of settlements in Palestinian territory with even a settlement named after Trump.
also
They 'gave' the Golan hights to israel...
en then Iran...
all religiously based actions...

Congrats to Democrats for being hellbent on sabotaging Trump’s electoral promise of a better relationship with Russia. This is the result:

Trump didn't recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.  The US Congress did in 1995 and called for the relocation of the US embassy by 1999.  The Senate voted 93-5 and the House 374-37 to pass the law. Trump finally ordered it moved in 2018.

"The Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995[1] is a public law of the United States passed by the post-Republican Revolution 104th Congress on October 23, 1995. The proposed law was adopted by the Senate (93–5),[2] and the House (374–37).[3] The Act became law without a presidential signature on November 8, 1995.

The Act recognized Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Israel and called for Jerusalem to remain an undivided city. Its purpose was to set aside funds for the relocation of the Embassy of the United States in Israel from its location in Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, by May 31, 1999."

It is the enduring tragedy of leftists that, with a few notable exceptions, the right has proved far better at propaganda.

It turns out that all the reason and intellect in the world won't help you if the other guys can make really punchy posters.

It's the way to go; that's why money is so important: buys the best agencies. Buys everything.

When "all that reason and intellect" is capable only of three punchy words ("racist," "sexist," "bigot"), one has to question "all that reason and intellect."

Slobodan is being disingenuous, of course.

The progressive left has written millions of words of material representing many many hours of careful thought and research, and somewhat more hours of less careful thought and research, as he well knows. He may well have heard of Marx's books, of Piketty's book. He may be aware that Elizabeth Warren has a plan for every conceivable thing under the sun, the list goes on and on.

The right, of course, has their own collection of books.

Neither library matters a damn, because what matters is the posters, the catch phrases, the visual moments, and the right has been distinctly, consistently, better at this than the left. Triumph of the Will is a hell of a movie.

Both sides use rental crowds at political rallies, as well as planted provocateurs, question-askers, and protesters. The right does a better job with the signs, the "spontaneous" chants and thrown remarks, and so on. They're simply better at this kind of theater, because they know that it matters more than "Well, I have a plan for whatever the hell your issue is."

This is highly salient to a photography forum, by the way, because the basis of all of this is the visuals. It is all about constructing visuals, and contextualizing them, which is ultimately what photography is about.

I am glad you included Marx in the contemporary Left's theoretical underpinnings. Couldn't agree more. Not only I heard of his books, but I studied them and passed college exams, as I stated at some point in the past.

As for Warren's "intellectual" plans, all I can offer is my edit of the  Groucho Marx' (this one I like better) quote. Yes, I know, the visuals.

Trump didn't recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.  The US Congress did in 1995...(The Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995)

That fact is true, of coarse, but at that time the president of the US, Bill Clinton and even the prime minister of Israel Rabin was against this Jerusalem Embassy Act.
For 23 years the act was not carried out by presidents Bill Clinton, George Bush and Barack Obama for it would make the peace process between the Palestines and Israel even more difficult.
With Trumps decision to go ahead with the act and the other actions I mentioned it gives a clear signal to the Palestines that the US is chosing the side of Nethanyahu.

Of course, why wouldn't we? Should we side with the ones dancing on the streets on 9/11?
