No clickbait, please. What does it do?
It wraps the two most important (TopazLabs) image enhancement tools ('Clarity', and 'Detail') into a single application environment, and combines that with AI technology for overall (basic) image enhancements as we knew them from the traditional Adjust Plugin.
It can be called as a standalone application, or as a Photoshop Plugin, to suit almost everyone's particular workflow.
'Clarity' is unlike a common midtone contrast adjustment, but gives much more control over various levels of local contrast.
'Detail' allows adjusting the visibility of image features of different sizes.
They both work basically halo-free, and they preserve color instead of changing saturation like most other alternatives.
This first public release version already has the most important features (and then some, like split-toning and grain addition), but a lot of suggestions from the beta testers are yet to be implemented, and it's likely that that will happen later this year and after. The good thing with TopazLabs' offerings is that you only pay once, and get free updates and version upgrades for life. This new Adjust AI is no exception, users of the prior versions or either Adjust, or Clarity, or Detail, got a free upgrade for the whole set of tools. So that makes for a very good price-performance ratio.
