z3200 cutting a 2 inch strip of paper after every print
« on: May 23, 2019, 07:11:44 am »

Hi Guys;

My HP DesignJet z3200 cuts a 2 inch strip of paper after every paper print....is there any way of disabling this? It is wasting a lot of valuable Canson Platine paper for me....

Cheers.

You can turn the cutter off by going back into your profile under Change Properties.  Then you can use Paper>Move Paper and Cut which allows you to cut the paper when you tell the printer to do so.

It’s possible that the “Trim Glossy Paper” dialog came up and you might have clicked it without realizing it would always trim the leading edge.

You could unload the roll and reload, paying careful attention to the dialog that asks to cut, then say no and you should be good to go.

If it persists, just turn cutter off and use the move paper and cut feature in Paper.
