Interesting Article re Adobe CC
« on: May 15, 2019, 08:55:54 am »

Just read this article with a bit of a smile.  Nothing new or unexpected here.  I believe "inevitable" would be the proper word for this situation.  But of course that's just my opinion and I'm sure others will disagree.  But that's what forums like LuLa are all about, as long as the disagreements don't get out of control.

Just thought I'd pass it along for those who might be interested and perhaps have time to read.  https://photographylife.com/adobe-creative-cloud-issues?utm_source=Photography+Life+Newsletter&utm_campaign=e6ef7b90c4-newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_74d1711c3d-e6ef7b90c4-188751589

Yep...thanks to all the "whining," the $9.99 plan is back as an option brought back from behind the curtain.

Whining was the fix? Kind of doubt that. Plus, anyone could go to other sites to purchase the plan at the 'old' price of $9.99 such as B&H or Amazon. So it really wasn't gone to have to come back due to 'whining' but the photo community will continue to have lots of whiners no matter what Adobe does. Or Apple, MS, fill in the blank.  ;D
If only the community was as upset about tariffs, climate change, plastic in the ocean as they are about products software companies.........

Whining was the fix?

Apparently, since that offering seems to be the only one 'tested'.
I've read that Creative Cloud for Teams got a price increase of some 14% last year ...

Cheers,

Oh come on now Andrew ... who's to say that we are not just as concerned as you are about the above?  Perhaps no one but you, but although I rather doubt that, it's quite OK, since we all have the option of voicing our particular beef of the day.  However, since this not a forum that usually deals with topics such as you have mentioned, I imagine perhaps the moderator(s) might not let such subjects interfere with the topics normally discussed here in LuLa.  Then again, I could be totally wrong about that and if I am I'll be one of the first to chime in on the new topics of the day.  Or, perhaps to some degree I have already done so.  I found that article rather interesting for various reasons.  Not that I haven't heard/read most of it before, much of it here.  However, since so many folks have offered there replies to my post and the article therein, I believe I may have done my good deed of the day.

By the way, sometimes tongue-in-cheek can also have a positive effect, but only when the observer sees it in the same light as the creator.  ;D

Now that the Coffee Corner allows political discussions again, that would be the place to carry on those conversations.

A sad decision that may come to haunt you.
I try to keep my finger on the pulse of photography and digital imaging. That’s one of the main reasons I come here.

That’s a completely unnecessary remark. Show some respect and decency to the moderators of this board. In the meantime, take your garbage elsewhere and don’t bother us with this.

For the rest of us, let's back on topic  :)

Hmmmmm..... Just a guess Jaap, but I predict that you haven't yet seen the best of the DigitalDog.  Might be interesting!  :) ;)

It did go up by $10. Also for single users the Single  app and Alll apps plans went up about 6%.

Nextflix went up 25% a few months ago. So have my some of my cable charges. I expect an increase for the $9.99 some day and as long as reasonable I won't worry about it. Wasn't C1's annual update program around $100 at one time. Now it is $150.

How many working pros take the moral high ground and don't pass price increases to their customers?
