Looks too flat for Dolly Parton.

Of course they are both there! You simply have to do what they do in Canadian certain photography competitions, and bring in an expert to cast judgement.

Also, there's just a shadow of Count Basie sitting right at the right-hand side of that piano.

Even without Dolly or Chet, I rather like the image.
Much more interesting and evocative than a certain Canadian sunflower photo, IMHO.

Better chance David Lynch is still there... Could be a shot from one of his movies...

The piano, yes.
Let’s not forget to shoot the one who plays it!  8)

That’s a compliment.  :)

What is the story behind the sunflower? Did we miss something over here in Europe?

No, just you.

Poetry of the mundane. In your case "grunch poetry of the mundane", and we've collectively decided to nominate you next time.

I'm trying very hard to remember who shot the shot of Dolly from above her head, in a studio, and so she obviously knew why. I remember it as high-key, black white.

Those mamas really did project her personality; you could say she cultivated them - both boobs and personality!

Excuse-moi for the ignorance. Since Lula is not working on Tapatalk, I am a bit detached.

I like the picture and in the bloated explanation of Burtynsky is a certain truth.

I like the image a lot, actually. Not sure if it is worth 50k, though.

Thanks. That’s a real complaint.
