Not much for these to do but sit and talk about tourists with cameras.

Interesting informal portraiture, Corn.

Thanks Russ.

I have just had a look at the images on your site from Asia dating back to the 50's and 60's.  These are great and I think there could be a market of archive material .  Lots of wealthy people in these countries today would be interested in maybe a book or exhibition or prints.

That's an interesting picture, but on the iPad, it comes too big and forces scrollng which, of course, destroys its impact.

I submit at 810 x 610 pixies, which still cause distress at the sides, even though in my own case, those sides are mainly white edges from my standard website display routine.

Isn't there some way that stuff on tablets was supposed to be automatically adjusted for such viewing?

Hi Rob  I would expect modern displays to resize to fit.  It is certainly easy to implement on a website where the image can be viewed on a phone properly scaled.

Thanks, Corn. I appreciate your positive comment and suggestion but it's gonna have to wait until I'm gone. In the eighties I spent a lot of time getting poetry published, but I no longer have any interest in publication of any of my stuff -- photographs, poetry, short stories, essays... Publication of some of it on the web is enough. One or more of my four sons may decide to go for it one of these days, but at 89 though I'm still plenty active, I'm out of business.

Rob

I believe the term is "responsive site."

My guess is that LuLa is stuck with the limitations of the forum software. The display capabilities are certainly not up to snuff for a photography site.

Loved the portrait. I have several of these type from Goa where the village elders gather in the evening and shoot the breeze.

Why do you say these old men are wise?

They seem to be healthy and happy at quite an advanced age.
As I push 80 years, I consider that a sign of wisdom.   ;)

You are confusing old and wise, itself a sign of lack of wisdom.
