Fine series, I really like no-2. Nice movement -dynamic- from light to shadow and the shapes they create.

I'd have to toss a coin between #1 and #2 :)

As was my choice, but since this is a critique section, I wish the lamp in #1 was not covering the window. Perhaps a slight change of the camera position would have achieved that, though it might have changed other elements of the image too much at the same time.

I thought of that but as you rightly say, a change in the position would have changed the image.
Thanks Slobodan  :)

If the first image - which I've already said I admire - had been mine, I'd have been tempted to crop out the window and lantern entirely and take a little off the right side resulting in a square crop.

I won't do it here as I haven't rabanito's permission.

You have already tried, I presume...
It's a good idea, changes the dynamic of the image. Could be an alternative (I just tried it myself  Thanks for the hint :) )

I still prefer mine because that's how it struck me at the moment but I like yours too

You get rabanito's permission if you tell me how do you put that great luminosity or whatever it is in you pictures (he-he-he)

My interpretation, no magic sauce, but with a few tweaks and a square crop.

Not sure I prefer it, but it's obviously more abstracted, putting me in mind of Giorgio de Chirico.

The second one as well, at least in my mind, probably de Chirico has been plagiarizing rabanito  ;)

But that was the light that day, and the shadows. You cannot help but seeing it.

Thank you for the compliment
