Lab for Kodachrome?
« on: April 10, 2019, 02:20:00 am »

I got a couple of Kodachrome 64 & 200 slide rolls sitting in my fridge since years.
Just out of interest: Does anybody know if there is still a lab somewhere processing Kodachrome?

I don't believe so.

As do I, look upon your films as future gold for your descendents in the year 3019.

It'll be the best photographic investment ever; trust me.

I believe it can be processed as b&w with some effort since it is essentially a b&w film where the dies were infused during the process and that you can probably find a "recipe" somewhere on line.

Hello
I believe Rocky Mountian Photo Lab can still process this film. Below is a link to the web site.

They only offer processing to B&W, though that fact is buried three clicks deep. As they say “Color results from K-11 or K-12 slide films are not available because the manufacturer no longer makes the color dyes.“

And they haven't appeared to update their web site since 2015, at least in terms of copyright. But the bit about B&W only is here:

Interestingly expensive!

My remaining cassettes are in the freezer awaiting the century when they become museum exhibits.
