Strange Behaviour of the Develope Module
« on: April 09, 2019, 04:34:34 pm »

I've been working w LR CC for some time without inconveniences.
Now there appeared a problem

1. I select a picture from the grid
2. I press D to go to the develop Module
3. Sometimes I see the picture in the center panel
4. Sometimes it goes just BLACK.
5. If I now activate the Crop Overlay (R) there appears the image again (together w the CO)
6. If I press Reset or any other of the tools there (Spot Removal, Graduated Filter etc) the center image disappears again
7. If I move the LR window to the secondary display, after a while the picture appears again
8. If I move the window back to the primary display, the picture remains

Any ideas? I tried already reinstalling LR

1. Check GPU settings (on or off) and try a different setting. This is found in preferences.
2. It could be a faulty ICC display profile. Recalibrate and build a new one.
3. It could be how the profile was built. Set your software to build Version 2 (V2) not V4 profiles.
4. It could be the type of profile built. Try Matrix instead of LUT based profile. Again, that's a setting in whatever software you use to calibrate and profile the display.

...

While following your advice I started first of all making sure that the display settings were right
They were (at least in theory) but anyway I set them again (I work with two displays, a main one and a cheaper one for the tools).

Well, MIRACLE!
I'm not aware of having changed anything but the fact is that not only (at least for the moment  ::) ) the problem disappeared but LR seems to work noticeably faster now.

I'm keeping your notes "just in case" the magic should reverse  ;D

You put me in the right path. Thank you
