Great service From adobe!!
« on: April 08, 2019, 08:12:56 am »

   Hi all,

I can usually diagnose and correct software problems on my own, but yesterday, my copy of Acrobat CC or whatever you want to call it started locking up. To tell the truth, it's always been a tad flaky since installing it a couple of months back with restarts etc. being the norm. As I was able to coax it to work I didn't bother with it any further until yesterday when it just would open a document, then give me the spinning beach ball of death requiring a force quit.

I tried doing an uninstall/reinstall but the damm thing would get partway through the install and pop a couple of error messages. Tried a cold reboot with no luck so I figured it was time to call for help. Did some poking around the Acrobat support site, dowloaded an Adobe Log thingy and let it run. It then sent a report to the Adobe mothership which was acknowledged by an email.

There was a contact us link on the Adobe site so I gave it a try, I was asked to join a chat with someone named Himanshu. He was extremely friendly and requested he be allowed to share my screen and have access to my system which I was glad to do. For the better part of an hour he was running all sorts of diagnostics and cleanup programs. When all was done he then stayed on to make sure that the Acrobat and all of my other CC apps were functioning as they should.

I post this because I've read posts about users having the total opposite experience and wanted you all to know of my experience.

I've gone through a similar routine with Adobe, Kevin, with similar results. As far as I'm concerned, Adobe is first class, and I've been working with Adobe stuff for more than fifteen years.
