Definitely not a waste of ink! The muted colours are wonderful.

This is very nice!
My first thought was that I would definitely print and hang this on my wall, even before I saw that this was your question.

Bill, it's a great shot as others have said. For me, that tree in the foreground just jumps off of the screen, well done!!

It does stand up to scrutiny.

Thanks for the positive comments. I think the consensus is to print it, so guess what?

I agree with everything everyone else has said. As a small matter, I might consider toning down or cloning out the bright scar where a tree branch has broken off, as it seems to draw my eye to it too quickly.

A good point. I'm not sure about cloning it away but doing something to tone it down seems like good advice

Beautiful scene, Bill! :) There are two small things I find slightly distracting, if I may. The first one is the top horizontal branch on the top of the frame, which seems to pop into the frame out of nowhere (this is an easy fix, if you find it also distracting, just cropping a bit of the top). The second is the root of the tree in the foreground, which I find a bit too close to the bottom of the frame - or to put it better, I would love to see a little more of that. I don't know if you cropped the photo already or if it is as shot, if you did you might have a solution for the second little nit in the original file :) Just a suggestion, of course.

Best regards,

Vieri
