Throw your cameras away

Nvidia has a program that changes sketches to photos. Might as well stay home.

That's disturbing.  Inevitable but disturbing.

I guess that after our Copyright stamp on a photo we'll have to add completely made by a human.   ;D

One of the things you will soon discover is that they have to use a large stock of existing images from which to draw. So don't give them your images and don't ever post large high quality images on the net.

There are millions of great images already in micro stock. Too late...cat's out of the bag.

Turns a sketch into a photograph. Seriously. How is that a threat?

Imagine the situation. A client phones and asks for a photo of a pair of shoes. You show up with a pencil and quickly draw them. Like that’s easier to do than to quickly take a photo. Then you send the sketch off to nvidia. No wait you quickly take a photo of the sketch then send that. Then you realize you may as well just taken a photo of the shoes.

Or you are at a politaical rally and someone pulls a gun and shoots the speaker. Dam, and I forgot my pencil at home. All I have is a phone with a great camera built in.

This would be an amazing invention if more people could draw than could take a photo. Or if a sketch was faster than taking a photo.

Seems pointless to me but who knows. There could be millions of people standing in line desperate to turn their sketches into photographs.

My idea would be to plug a few Picasso’s into the system and see what on earth he actually had in mind.

Wow! Really cool, but I like getting out the create the photos with gear that I love. I love travel photography. I won't be able to replace that experience any time soon with sitting in front of a computer.
