BIRDS OF SOUTH ECUADOR

I'm just back from guiding our all new South Ecuador photo tour. We found some great birds down there. Here are a few   8)




Green Thorntail


Comb Duck


Chestnut-breasted Coronet

Another stunning set.

You didn't include a title for the woodpecker in the first shot. It resembles an Ivorybill (but bill wrong color) or Pileated (breast coloring all wrong) more than any other one that I know (and no: I don't claim to have seen an Ivorybill!)
So what is its name?

It certainly looks more powerful than the Downies or Red-Bellieds that come to my feeders.
