The second image is a beauty and best conveys the Mojave. But is the tilted horizon by design?

I very nice trip with great results. I especially like the second one (Mojave-2).
Bravo, Armand.

Thank you all!
These 4 shots were taken in the span of a couple of hours, the location was very nice. Not particularly friendly to photography that day because the wind was fierce but it's easily accessible, a little over an hour from Las Vegas. If you want to see Joshua trees and great night sky, particularly if you are coming from Las Vegas, I would go there first before heading to Joshua Tree NP.

I doubt the horizon is tilted much but can't say for sure because it is not really visible. What you see leaning is the hill but if you look at the right the mountains are going the opposite direction. Looking at the sky you might be tempted to rotate slightly towards the right but not all lines in the sky are parallel and I thought the photo looks slightly unbalanced so I decided to leave it as I shot it. Can't say that it was the best choice or not.

Looks like a gentle slope to me.
The clouds above the horizon are pretty horizontal IMHO
Or even tilted counterclockwise a little
