Epson 11880 error D100 - Anyone encounter this before?
« on: March 11, 2019, 07:31:05 pm »

Hi LL, after many years working with the 11880 on Windows, I successfully printed an image from a Mac and then initiated a printer test pattern from the printer's control panel. I was thrilled that there were no major clogs but...  the print head then shifted to the center of the printer and the status on the printer now says: Service Call Error D100 Please contact repair center.

Has anyone encountered this kind of error, and is it something that could be remedied without a service call?

Thanks,
Pat - Vancouver

I don't have one of those printers but an internet search turned up this for that error:

<Turn the printer off, unplug, open the front cover, if the printhead is loose move it to the center, check for any paper jams, use a compressed air can to blow from the top of the printer, plug in the printer, turn it on; this should work but if the problem persists try a couple more times; can be your print heads or the rail heads . . .good luck.>

I didn't see anything else.

Thanks Mark, yes, I saw that as well, but found that solution was actually addressing a different error (1136).

I found this in the 11880 Field Service Manual - Error 0100 (not D100) RTC Battery Replacement... but  I can't find any reference to a D100 code.

I think you're only option is to call Epson ProGraphics Support.
