Question about Macbook Pro Touch bar and Eizo CG 10bit panel
« on: March 05, 2019, 11:17:59 pm »

Dear all,

I'm just got a 2017 15" MBP w/ touch bar.
This laptop has a builtin Radeon Pro 560 as a display card.
I'm trying to buy an adapter for the laptop so that I can connect everything else such as my "old" usb 3.0 devices and my Eizo CG2730
But I'm wondering does macOS support 10bit output for the Eizo with the Radeon Pro and Displayport cable.
I know Windows does but not sure about Mac.

Thanks
Aaron

Just an FYI- if you go into about this mac (first one under the Apple on the top toolbar); More info you’ll find the Hardware/Network/Software information for you computer (AKA System Profiler). The Graphics/Displays setting in the Hardware section will be 30-bit  (ARGB2101010) for 10 bit compatible, 24 or 32 (don’t ask) bit color (ARGB8888) means 8 bit RGB.
