Do you demand receipt proof of purchase from Ebay sellers

Curious how many demand receipts or proof of purchase from ebay sellers for newer lenses and cameras that cost you over $500 to $2k?

Is just occurred to me with all the thievery out there... I've never considered before demanding this... probably thinking, of course, many would be annoyed with the request or not answer... who are actually legit.

At the very least I ask exactly when and where was the original purchase. Vague answers deter me. At times I find item is 2nd, 3rd or more in owner succession. An actually receipt can be harder to get, but some will provide. I like exactness in answers. Good luck. I have not been burned, and if stolen, not have suspected so far.
