Anza-Borrego
« on: March 02, 2019, 10:48:08 pm »

Went there for the spring flowers, it rained practically the entire time. Often it poured alternating with brief 10-15 min of calm, not what I was expecting in the desert.
Flower beds were some, not as much as I was hoping and definitely a different mix.

Beautiful. I have wonderful memories of hiking in Anza-Borrego during blooming season many, many years ago. Your photos bring back great memories. Thank you.

Thanks for the update on the desert.  What a beautiful time to be there.

Thank you.

This was about 1 week ago, I expect the bloom to be even nicer in the the next couple of weeks after all those rains if it won't freeze overnight.
For what it's worth Joshua Tree had nicer bloom around the same time.
