how about expanding this section to more than one picture? Maybe a mini-story with one, two, or three pictures.
As a mediocre writer, I find it challenging to write more than a few sentences about a particular photo, and from the reader perspective it might be even more interesting to read a slightly longer story about a particular scene or location. Not to mention, that by loosening the submission criteria, it would open this section to many more interesting mini stories, i.e. several complementary images from one location, the same scene photographed in different seasons, Before and After screen shots for a particular post-processing technique, big picture and close-up, etc.
