Click onto the gallery at iconic images - could be better signposted.

Use the lower link, not the logo thing - that's a general link.

Thanks Rob,

I recorded the BBC documentary shortly after his demise, and it gives me much pleasure to rewatch it many times since. The only glitch is that the recording freezes on a very wide-angle shot of Celia Hammond (I think!) sitting on a bench with a bunch of other people. However, if I just wait and don't touch the playback, it resolves itself and resumes showing as normal.

The guy had chutzpah, as well as talent, and you need both.

Golden years for so many of us; we were fortunate to be around when we were.

Thanks, seeing these reminded me that in my younger days before I considered myself a photographer I used to collect "art" postcards, mostly of posters and graphic illustrations, rather than photographs. But his "Hat Fashions" was one of the first photo cards in that collection and probably helped spark the urge. Not that I'm well qualified to comment on fashion but a lot of his compositions are strongly graphic (to me).

And (echoing the point about chutzpah rather than being disparaging) he created a sausage named after him...
