Disappearing Star Rating

I recently posted my issue on the Leaf Capture One forum but haven't received much help. I've been using Capture One for about six years and haven't changed my preferences but found my star ratings have disappeared shortly after upgrading from v11 to v12.

I am running Capture One Pro 12.0.1 on my Apple Mid'15 MBP with 16GB RAM with Mojave OS 10.14.3 and am having an issue. I will go through a Session and give star ratings and notice the star designations will inconsistently drop off. Has anyone else experienced this? It is quite annoying when a Client is sitting there reviewing the images and making their selections.

I can imagine the frustration. I'm on Win10 and do not experience your issue, so I can't help.
I suggest you raise a service request, and let the technical support folks at Phase One ferret out what's happening.

Just wanted to update the thread, it was suggested to change the metadata preference from "full" to "no" Auto Sync sidecar XMP. The ratings are holding and it's back to where it was in v11.
