Agree with Eric's assessment here, the first static, as if a lacquer box. The second dynamic, almost melodic. The of thing is, that often at Mt Auburn it "feels" static even on windy days. Not sure why I always had that feeling. Minor spent so much of his final year seeking tranquillity before retiring there, almost felt as if he placed a hush over the surrounds.

It's a wonderfully striking image. If I have one suggestion, it would be to darken the very bright white of the central trees just a tad.

The second image balances the earth and sky in a wonderful tension between the trees that want to hem in the water and the clouds that want to radiate outward. Even the triangular cloud reflection contributes some tension.

Bob, every time I see some your IR images, it makes want go and have my old Canon converted and then go out in summer and do some IR shots.
