Unwanted file size change.
« on: January 16, 2019, 04:05:48 pm »

New to Capture one for SOny CAMERAS.  WHen I import images the file size changes from 4000x6000{original sze] TO  3781X5672.  this is not wanted.  How can I prevent this from occurring?

The file was exported from LR, Then imported to C1.  How can I retain the name I gave it by LR?

Hi,

On the Lens correction Tools tab, disable the "Hide Distorted Areas" option.

Cheers,

After you do what Bart said, select the crop tool, you will now see the area that was previously auto cropped for lens correction, You can then adjust things back to normal.
If you do not want to do lens corrections in the future, click on the little three dots in the upper right hand corner of the lens corrections panel and select Disable Default Lens Correction
Future imports that weren't imported with the lens corrections active should come in without the corrections and crop.

I Unchecked as directed but it does remain off--it comes back on.

How can I turn it off permanently?

Hi,

Permanently, I don't know. But you can do it automatically when importing images by adding it to a "Style" which has this and other settings configured together. Or you can create a User Preset for lens corrections, that you can apply to a selection of files together, or use only that preset for Importing files.

Cheers,

You unchecked what?  There were two things to turn off - did you do both.  If you go to the 3 little bars and disable lens corrections it is permanent but only for new imports after that date.  To turn it off for files already imported simply select them all and uncheck the lens corrections.  Everything in that folder or view of images will have it turned off.
