C&C welcome. Referring to another thread; would this be a static landscape with movement?

Good job. Interesting "Tuscany like" multi-level agricultural scene with some dynamic curves.

There is a dynamic in the swing and roll of the hill slopes, but I’m not convinced that it lifts the photograph from being ‘static’.

More importantly, perhaps, the photograph appears unnecessarily ‘heavy’ and ‘brooding’ with shadows that appear blocked up (almost like a scan from a transparency). Come to think of it, even the mismatched colour balance between the highlights and shadows is reminiscent of a slide scan or perhaps a digital underexposure that is being ‘corrected’.

If all of this is intentional, then dismiss my comments as those from someone who is more, and perhaps unnecessarily, conventional.

The dust devil is the verb and makes the image dynamic as opposed to another static scene. Having a verb in the photo makes it stand out.

+1

Isn’t that what we once referred to as the ‘focal point’? I like the word and concept of ‘verb’ much better.

Thank you gentlemen. The image was taken purposefully under exposed and then brightened and saturated. It's a look I'm experimenting with; trying to move away perhaps from a" standard"capture of which I have taken plenty of in the Palouse.
